Analog design

Introduction

It is the task of designing the analog circuit which plays the basic role and the base of system semiconductor.

  • 1The Analog Front-End (AFE) design task is responsible for various analog IP designs such as Display Driver IC, PMIC, Touch Controller, and Sensor Signal Conditioner.
    It mainly designs circuit for operational amplifier, bias circuit, oscillator, switched capacitor circuit, continuous-time filter and programmable gain amplifier (PGA).
    It aims at developing the best circuit structure and performance improvement for each product. It is also a prerequisite for analog design engineers who require other expertise.
  • 2Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) are increasing in importance and applications.
    For example, ADCs are used in the core signal processing circuits of OLED panel compensation, Sensor Signal Conditioner IC, BMIC (Battery Management IC), Touch Controller, and various IoT Sensor read-out ICs. Pipeline-, Cyclic-, SAR-, and Sigma-delta ADCs are designed for applications, aiming to create high-performance and productive solutions.
  • 3Power IC design task is responsible for designing power generation for almost all electronic devices such as TV, Mobile, and auto IC. In addition to designing a Buck / boost / buck-boost converter for high efficiency, high power, wide input range and wide output range for various products, LDO (Low Drop-Out). In recent years, the application range is expanding to wireless power transmission / reception.
    Also, system reliability and power efficiency are becoming major technological trends, and research content is becoming increasingly complex.
  • 4The serial interface design task is related to the high speed serial data interface that is common in various systems.
    For example, in the flat panel display system, there is data transmission / reception between the display driver IC and the T-Con.
    There are also a variety of standards and technologies within this, as well as memory systems and router systems.
    Display has recently commercialized UHD products, and as demand for high-definition continues to increase, high-speed data communication technology is becoming important.
    Design analog circuits such as CDR (Clock Data Recovery), PLL, DLL, and Equalizer.
Required Competency

Digital design

Introduction

Digital design is the task of designing and verifying semiconductor chips using programming language such as C language or Mathlab for algorithm implementation and HDL (Hardware Design Language) for digital circuit design.

Required Competency
  • 1Basically, it is necessary to understand the semiconductor circuit and background knowledge about the semiconductor devices that constitute the circuit.
  • 2A programming language such as C or Mathlab for algorithm implementation and HDL for digital circuit design are essential, and you need to understand and handle tool or FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) that can verify this.
  • 3Digital design task requires the ability to handle tasks with precision and accuracy, and requires perseverance and integrity to solve problems.

Touch SW

Introduction

Touch SW is the task to develop S/W that processes touch signal input from Touch Screen.

  • 1 F/W development work

    We mainly develop the verification and platform of Touch IC for touch signal processing. Specifically, we develop the optimal platform for driver verification, driver creation and touch algorithm by verifying various peripherals such as ADC, DSP, I2C, SPI and USB.

  • 2 Development of PC application S/W

    It is task to develop various application S/W needed for development and mass production of Touch F/W.
    Algorithm Engineer or Field Engineer may have a tool that can perform performance evaluation and improvement efficiently.
    In the case of mass production, the tool is needed to increase mass production efficiency. In addition, it is necessary to develop a variety of utilities to enable end customers to use the product conveniently as needed.

Required Competency
  • 1It basically requires basic knowledge of C language and ARM Core and experience with interfaces such as I2C and SPI.
    In case of F/W business, since it has a close relationship with H/W, basic H/W ability such as understanding and modification of circuit diagram is also required.
  • 2And it requires creative thinking, tenacity, and integrity to solve the problems that you experience while doing works.
    In addition, it is necessary to have good interpersonal ability and communication skill because it is often located at the point of contact with customers.
